HIP Process

Home Information Packs have been introduced by the government to help speed up the house buying/selling process. However for a lot of homeowners they can appear to be a confusing additional worry when placing their property on the market.

Orchard HIPS offer a simple, inexpensive solution to the Home Information Pack (HIP) whilst complying with all of the HIP regulations and will be accepted by all Estate Agents and solicitors nationwide.

We aim to provide your pack as quickly as possible and with a minimum of fuss. Once you give us your instructions we will immediately notify your Estate Agent that the pack has been ordered. Various documents along with the Energy Performance Certificate need to be compiled before your property can be legally marketed. The Energy Assessment involves a 30-60 minute survey of your home by an accredited Energy assessor. The assessor will need to gain access to your heating and hot-water systems, and also to your attic/roof-space where possible. When this part of the HIP has been completed we will email your estate agent once more to confirm marketing can legally commence. This process usually takes 2-3 working days.

Once the HIP is completed we will send electronic copies of the pack both to you and your Estate Agent, and also to your solicitor if required. Hard copies are also available upon request charged at £11.50 including VAT.
